“Ohfuck!” Jen spit out, barely catching her balance. I had to bite my lip not to laugh at her outburst. After she brushed off her pants she looked up and remembered why she was here.

“OH MY GOSH YOU GOTTA TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED” she scrambled over to me and started checking me for marks, lifting up one arm and then the other.

“Jen. I’m perfectly fine, as you can see.” I grabbed her shoulders and made her sit down next to me.

“Okay.” She settled an impatient stare on me and didn’t say anything for a few minutes. “Well? I’m waiting.”

    “What?” I asked, confused.

I believe she wants to know what happened in her absence. Perhaps I should explain?

“Yeah. I don’t really know what happened either, actually.” My eyebrows drew together as I realized that I had just gone along with it.

Well, um… His face seemed to get a bit pinkish. I, um, lost my temper. I just hate it when men abuse women, that’s all. He reached up and scratched his cheek.

“Slenderman’s a gentleman? That’s really unexpected.” Jen said, looking like she was trying not to laugh.

“Well,” I yawned and stretched my arms above my head, checking my wristwatch in the process, “It’s getting pretty late. I’m tired. Jen, do you want to stay the night?”

“Eh, nah. I am going to obsess over my computer for the weekend. I’ll see ya later. Bye Slenderman.” She waved, and as she walked out the door, I could hear her mutter ‘never thought I’d say that in my lifetime.’

Then I turned to Slender. “So… you can stay here if you want. The house is kind of wrecked, but it doesn’t look like they got into my parents’ old bedroom.”

He seemed to contemplate it for a moment before I heard his voice in my head. Yes, I’d like that. I will see you in the morning, little one. He started to stand up, but I grabbed his sleeve.

“Hey, why do you call me little one?” I tilted my head to the side.

Because you are little. Does it bother you?

“No, I don’t mind. I was just curious. Night, Slender.” I hugged him and saw his face flush for a second before I went upstairs into my room. I made sure that the window was locked and shut the blinds, peeking out to make sure Brian wasn’t there.

I sighed and snuggled into my warm blankets, falling asleep within minutes, feeling safe with the tall man in the room across the hall.

~Le time-o skip-o~

I sat forward and yawned, stretching my arms. The delicious smell of bacon and eggs hit my nose, quickly drawing me out of my bedroom and down the stairs.

“Slender?” I mumbled, my eyes still half-closed.

“Nope, guess again,” Jen said, leaning backwards to stick her tongue out at me, “Wakey wakey, eggs ‘n’ bacey.”

“Do you really still say that.” I asked bluntly as I sat at the table and rubbed my eyes. She set down a plate of food in front of me and my stomach rumbled, already knowing what awesomeness was to come.

    “Yes. I do. Problem?”

“Not as long as you keep making food like this,” I said through a mouthful of bacon.

“Why, thank you for recognizing my skills.” She gave me a fake bow.

    “Hey, is Slender up yet?”

“Uh, no, I haven’t seen him. Why?”

I shrugged. “I dunno. Just curious.”

She stared at me with a hand on her chin before grabbing my wrist  and starting to pull me away. I yelped and stuffed the last forkful of eggs in my mouth before she could stop me. Jen rolled her eyes and quickly dragged me out onto my porch. She forcibly sat me down and plopped down in front of me, giving me an expectant look. “So?”

“So what?” I looked at her suspiciously, starting to get weirded out by her crazier-than-normal attitude.

“So what happened after I left yesterday! I wanna know,” She said, drawing out the last word and sounding like a five year old.

    “Umm… I went to sleep…?”

    “Where did Slenderman sleep~ Hmm~?”

“In my parents’ old bedrooms…? Can you please tell me what this is all about? You are making no sense.” I pursed my lips, becoming annoyed with her beading around the bush.

“Ugh, oh come on! Dude, I know you are kind of oblivious, but this is going too far. Seriously.” She groaned and rolled her eyes at me.

“What is it?!” I flung my arms out, almost hitting the patio’s guardrail.

    “You totally dig him.”

“…” I just kind of stared at her with my jaw on the floor for a minute. I opened and closed my mouth a few times, but nothing came out. I couldn’t think of what to say, so I settled on a simple “What?”

“It’s soooooo obvious. Weird, I didn’t peg you for the tall, dark, and faceless kind of gal.” She leaned back and crossed her arms behind her head, giving me a twisted smirk.

“Jennifer. Do you understand what you’re saying?” I could feel my face heat up a bit, and I tried to push the blush back down, but to no avail.

“Yes. I do. And I bet you enjoy the look of those tentacles, don’t you? Eh, eh?” She nudged me repeatedly, meanwhile my face got so red that my ears burned and I could practically see it glowing.

“J-J-Jen!!! W-what the hell?!” I tried to lift up my hands to cover my mouth and as much of my cheeks as I could.

“And he soooo wants you back. You can just tell.”

All I could do at this point was make weird squeaking noises.

She started nudging me again, obviously trying to milk the situation as much as she could. “He wants to get it on like donkey kong.”

“J-Jen! Stop right there!” I held up a finger, pointing at her face, “Go no further! W-why would he even like a human? Let alone me?”

“I don’t know. Maybe you should ask him yourself.” She shrugged, and I saw her glance at the window behind me. I turned around and looked, but I didn’t see anything. “Anyways, we should go inside. It’s cold out here, and I will save embarrassing you more for later.”

“Gee, thanks. I so appreciate it.” We walked into the house and found Slender in the kitchen, drying off one of the two now-clean dishes we had used for breakfast.
Oh, jeez. Does anybody else get really bad writer's block and sort of hide from a story? That's what I've been doing. Cowering in shame :l and now that I've gone back and reread some of this... jeez, it's bad. This is painful to read. But judging by the fact that I have at least some followers, I know there are people waiting for updates... secretly hating me for not giving them... I've been there. Uggghhh. I have like another chapter and a half written of this... but I have no idea where it's going. So yeah. Just throwing this out there. This is probably on hiatus now... My dad got me netflix recently, blame him. And I didn't have internet for a while, so now that I do, I'm just WOW MUCH NET LETS DO EVERYTHING MY PRECIOUS. And I got a new video game, and a new PC game recently.

Dragon Age 2 + DRAMAtical Murder + Netflix = not much time for anything else
